Getting started
You need to:
- Register for CIS status with HMRC to obtain your UTR number if you haven’t already done so
- Complete and return a Team Construction registration form along with confirmation of your UTR number (if you are still waiting to receive this from HMRC you can still register, just send this along at a later date) and a clear copy of your photo identification (click here for a list of acceptable forms of ID)
- Each week or month you may need to complete a billing form to confirm the hours worked and the rate of pay. This enables us to raise an invoice on your behalf to the client/contractor or agency. Please note if your client/contractor or agency operates a self billing procedure you will not need to complete a billing form. They will remit funds to us directly and we will send our invoice retrospectively upon receipt of your funds.
Team Construction will:
- Send an invoice to your client/contractor or agency
- Pay you into your personal bank account by your selected payment method as soon as we receive cleared funds from your client/contractor or agency
- The day we release funds you will receive a text message to confirm the amount and when funds will clear in your account
*please note all payments include any negotiated holiday and/or incentive payments. Holiday pay is calculated at 12.07% of the basic hourly rate. Team Construction does not retain funds for holiday pay, you must take responsibility for putting aside your own fund.
