Annual tax returns

Once registered HMRC will automatically send you notifications relating to your end of year self assessment and when it is due. You will be able to offset your work related expenses, at the time of completing your self assessment, against your taxable income to gain tax relief and therefore reducing your overall liability. Tax payments are usually due in two separate instalments (January and July). If you need any assistance we can help you over the phone on 0845 620 9268, alternatively we can send you a tax pack which contains contact details for our sister company who can assist you in completing your end of year tax return. Contact us for further information.

At the end of the tax year you will be responsible for submitting your self assessment tax return. Once your return has been processed by HMRC they will notify you of any additional amounts of tax and NI (Class 4) that may be due. Because tax is deducted from your payments at source (in accordance with your UTR) it is unlikely that there will be any additional amounts payable. You may even receive a rebate after your expenses have been applied.
